A marine mammal was transferred from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died weeks later. The move took place before the animal died.
Marineland also relocated four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park no longer houses dolphins. Only belugas continue to reside there.
The transfer made the facility quieter. Staff inspect the water and health conditions. Visitors observe significantly fewer animals. The park’s visitor count dropped.
The wooded surroundings have not changed. The water continues to be strong. The park retains a small number of belugas. Visitors notice fewer animal shows. The water continues to be clear.
