Macklin Celebrini returned to the lineup and scored a goal during a narrow defeat to the Edmonton Oilers. The young attacker, after being out of action, took the ice with another youngster Will Smith, who also featured in the NHL. Even with the defeat, the Sharks found a positive moment as Ivar Stenberg netted his first career NHL goal in a separate game against the Boston Bruins.
